Matthew Newberger spent his career as a trader working on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Since retiring in 2007, Mr. Newberger has used his time to give back to his community. He is the president of the Mariano Park Association (MPA). The MPA organized the first and very successful fundraiser for Fallen Police Commander Paul Bauer’s family. Mr. Newberger has had personal relationships with officers from the Chicago Police Department his whole life. Being a Chicago Police Foundation board member is his chance to give back to the men and women who keep us all safe.
